TRAVEL PROGRAMME

DAY 1:

Individual arrival in Kirkenes.
Pick up in Kirkenes at Rica Arctic Hotel at 17.00
17.00 – 22.30

ACTIVITY: DOG-SLEDGE TRIP IN NORWEGIAN-RUSSIAN BORDERLAND including dinner

Guided tour through Pasvikdalen valley. Help us prepare the dog sledges before setting out into the “polar night”. In good conditions, you will see the northern lights dance across the skies as we travel along the border between Norway and Russia – an exotic adventure in an Arctic climate. We end the trip with a delicious meal served in a Sami lavvu.
After the trip transfer to the National Park Centre in Svanvik (40 km south of Kirkenes).

DAY 2:
Breakfast. Check out and pick up at the National Park Centre at 10.30.
10.30 – 14.00
ACTIVITY: SNOWMOBILE EXCURSION ALONG THE RUSSIAN BORDER
We start by bus from the National Park Centre, then continue by snowmobile out onto the ice on the Pasvikelva river to take a look at the Russian border. Option for ice fishing. Light lunch with coffee. A very personal trip with plenty of information on the history, landscape and way of life in the north. Length of snowmobile trip: approx. 20 km. A fun trip for kids too.

After the trip transportation back to Kirkenes (ca. 20 min).

Breakfast.

Time on your own. We suggest to book some optional activities.
