Registration when staying in private households in Russia
All people travelling to Russia have a duty to registrate to the Russian authorities within 3 days of arrival in Russia. When staying in hotels, you are automatically registered by the hotel. When staying in private households, the following apply:
In Murmansk:
You will have to go to the Gulliverrus office in Murmansk to get a re-registation form, in which you have to deliver to the passport office to registrate. Gulliverrus will instruct you in doing the registration. The house owner also needs to be present at the Gulliverrus office.

The re-registration form can be booked in advance, along with the visa application. In this case, the Russian adress needs to be given together with the name of the russian host. The application is to be delivered to the closest passport office Russia.
The Russian passport offices are normally closed on mondays. When moving within Russia, a new registration has to be done in each place of residence.
Exceeding the duty of registration may lead to getting a fine when leaving Russia, and rejection of your next visa application.
