You visit us with a group (minimum 10 persons)? Send us an email with your ideas and we will give you the best and most attractive offer.
You can book only parts of your arrangement with us or the whole package: We organize excursions, sightseeing, transportation, local guiding, local food and accommodation.

Riverboat safari along the Russian border and visit to a husky farm including local meal

A guided trip by buss to Pasvik valley. The valley is one of the last wilderness areas in Europe and known for its big brown bear population. You get both, a nice nature experience and information about the interesting history of this area right beside Russia. We follow the Pasvik river (border river to Russia) all the way to Svanvik. Visit in the National Park Centre which provides information about fauna and flora. Then tour by riverboat along the Russian border to a huskyfarm (1 hour boat tour) where we get local lunch in the viking longhouse around the open fire place. Guided tour through the husky farm with information about the huskies, husky tours and more. You can cuddle with the lovely dogs, they love visitors! Transportation back to Kirkenes by bus (50 minutes). Short stop at viewpoint “Høyde 96” with view into Russia. This tour provides a lot of information about history, nature and the daily life in our area so far North.

Historical tour to Pasvik valley with a local expert on history and culture

The valley forms the easternmost and northernmost valley in Norway. The Pasvikriver is the border river between Russia and Norway.  Pasvikvalley was not completely burned down during World War II, and many of the old buildings have been preserved. Our tour takes us to the school building in Strand, built in 1905, where we visit the exhibiton about nature and culture of this area. We will also visit a farm from 1870 years and take a closer look at Svanvik area. Visit at the National Park Center and viewpoint with a view to Russia. The trip is intended as an interesting cultural experience with many stops and visits and will provide participants with insight into the Valley’s unique history.

Period: Daily from 20th of May to 30th of September.
Duration: 5 hours, departure time to be agreed upon booking.

Kirkenes sightseeing, Russian border and lunch/dinner at “Gapahuken” restaurant

Sightseeing in and around Kirkenes. Our local guide will tell you about Kirkenes history and the daily life. You will get the most important facts about Kirkenes. We visit the two viewpoints, mining town Bjørnevatn and the norwegian-russian borderline. The tour ends in Gapahuken restaurant,  a beautiful location close to the Russian border and only 12 km from Kirkenes. Lunch / dinner in the restaurant with a great view. Transportation back to Kirkenes.

King crab safari by riverboat to the Russian borderline, with King crab meal

Meet and eat the King crab from our crab pots, as we visit Boris Gleb – An Icon of the Norwegian-Russian border history. You follow our riverboats from Kirkenes to our facility at the Russian borderline. We serve you fresh King Crab, cloudberries with cream, followed by coffee or tea. While the crabs are being prepared, you’ll learn that the cultural history of the Laplanders and the Orthodox church of Russia are closely connected to the border area. You’ll be as close to the border that you can almost touch it! However, trespassing is illegal. Fully licensed. Souvenirs are available.

Period: Daily from 1st of June to 15th of September.
Duration: 3 hours, 14:00 – 17:00
and 18:00 – 21:00

Quad Safari (ATV) to the Russian border

After we have picked you up and introduced you to our safety instructions, will we start to the viewpoint “Kjerring stupet”, where you will learn more about the history and culture of this region. We also stop our quads at the iron ore mines at Syd-Varanger, before we finally reach the Russian border at Skafferhullet, a former border crossing point, from where we can observe a Russian dwelling and a Russian chapel. At today’s border crossing between Russia & Norway, Storskog, we will have a break with coffee/tea. We will return to Kirkenes via Prestefjellet, viewpoint over Kirkenes and the harbour. Driving distance approximatly  32 kilometers.

Period: Daily from 1st of May to 1st of October.
Duration: 3 hours, 14:00 – 17:00

Daytrip to Russia

Visit our Russian neighbor towns Nikel and Zapoljarnyj on a guided day trip starting in Kirkenes. This border area has a rich and varied history and our local guides make this tour an exciting experience. The tour is full of contrasts and gives an impression of the border area and lots of information on the history and culture on both sides of the border.

Period: All year round, minimum 4 weeks in advance.
Duration: 8 hours, departure time to be agreed upon booking.

Food experience at the Labahå-farm

This tour is an exceptional excursion to the multicultural village of Neiden. The main attraction this day will be the Finnish Labahå- farm, where the visitors can enjoy the serenity at Neiden river and prepare their own lunch in the stone baking oven outside. One gets served homemade lemonade and visits the old farm house from 1876. The tour continues to the Skolt Sámi heritage site with Norway’s smallest wooden church building: the orthodox St. Georg’s chapel from 1565. Moreover the tour takes you to the powerfull Skoltefossen–waterfalls and the dragon-head-decorated Neiden church before returning to Kirkenes.

Skolt Sámi land: Excursion in the borderland of Norway and Finland

The Skolt Sámi are the indigenous people of the borderland Norway-Finland-Russia. The tour takes you to the Skolt Sámi village Sevettijärvi in Finland. There you will visit the museum and the local church before a local lunch is served. Enjoy the serenity and calmness. Slowly returning to Norway with a short stop in Näätämö the finnish part of the village Neiden. Back in Neiden you visit the Skolt Sámi heritage site with Norways smallest wooden church building: the orthodox St. Georg’s chapel. The tour continues to the magnificent waterfalls and the dragon-head-decorated Neiden chapel before returning to Kirkenes. Photo stops along the way.

King Crab Safari with diver

Pick up at your hotel and transfer to the boat. Tour out on the fjord on a comfortable boat. After a short ride in a great north Norwegian fjord landscape the diver gets down and catches crabs for us. Lecture on crab and preparation of fresh crab on board. Enjoy your fresh kingcrab lunch on board.

Period: Daily, all year round.
Duration: 4 hours, 10:00 – 14:00
